1. Introduction, Scope, and Nature of the Company
This Privacy Policy ("Policy") sets forth the policies, procedures, terms, and conditions governing the collection, use, retention, processing, transmission, disclosure, sale, sharing, and destruction of personal, identifiable, behavioral, technical, and aggregated information by Chicago Demolition Company, doing business as Chicago Demo Co. (hereinafter the "Company," "we," "us," or "our"), in connection with the operation of the website located at chicagodemoco.com and any and all subdomains, successor domains, mobile interfaces, microsites, partner sites, and digital properties operated by, or on behalf of, the Company (collectively, the "Site"). By accessing, browsing, viewing, registering with, submitting information to, or otherwise interacting with the Site in any manner whatsoever, the User irrevocably acknowledges that the User has read, understood, and unconditionally agreed to be bound by the entirety of this Policy together with the Company's Terms and Conditions, which are incorporated herein by this reference as though fully set forth at length. The User further acknowledges, stipulates, and agrees that the Company is engaged in the business of marketing, advertising, intake, lead generation, and project coordination, and that the Company is not itself a licensed demolition contractor and does not directly perform demolition, abatement, hauling, structural, environmental, or related construction services, but rather partners with, refers projects to, and/or sub-contracts the performance of such work to independently licensed and insured demolition contractors operating within the State of Illinois and the City of Chicago (collectively, the "Affiliated Contractors"), each of whom is solely and exclusively responsible for the means, methods, supervision, safety, performance, warranty, and licensure of any physical work undertaken on behalf of any User of the Site.
2. Information We Collect
The Company may collect, receive, derive, infer, or otherwise obtain a wide variety of information from and about you, including but not limited to: (a) personally identifiable information including full legal name, postal address, billing address, service address, telephone number(s), e-mail address(es), and demographic identifiers; (b) project-related information including descriptions of structures, square footage estimates, photographs, site conditions, scope-of-work narratives, and desired timelines; (c) device, browser, and connection information including IP address, device identifier, operating system, browser type and version, screen resolution, language preference, referrer URL, and Internet Service Provider; (d) behavioral and analytics information collected through cookies, web beacons, pixels, local storage, session replay scripts, heatmaps, and similar tracking technologies, both first-party and third-party; (e) communications metadata including call duration, SMS delivery receipts, e-mail open and click events, and timestamps; and (f) any other information you voluntarily provide.
3. How We Use Information; Communications Authorization
The Company may use, process, analyze, combine, enrich, supplement, and otherwise manipulate collected information for any lawful business purpose, including but not limited to: providing, maintaining, securing, and improving the Site; transmitting the User's project request to one or more Affiliated Contractors for the purpose of preparing a quote, estimate, or proposal; personalizing the User's experience on the Site; conducting market research, A/B testing, attribution analysis, and conversion-rate optimization; preventing, detecting, investigating, and responding to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and unlawful activity; complying with applicable legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, and audit obligations; enforcing our Terms and Conditions; and pursuing any other purpose disclosed at the time of collection or to which the User has otherwise consented. Without limitation of the foregoing, by submitting any name, telephone number, electronic mail address, postal address, or other contact information through any form, landing page, click-to-call element, SMS short code, chat widget, or other interactive feature on the Site, or by otherwise initiating contact with the Company, the User expressly authorizes, consents, and agrees that the Company, together with its parent and subsidiary entities, its Affiliated Contractors, its marketing partners, and their respective successors, assigns, agents, and authorized representatives (collectively, the "Authorized Parties"), may contact the User by telephone call, SMS or MMS text message, electronic mail, automated telephone dialing system, artificial or pre-recorded voice message, ringless voicemail, push notification, and/or postal mail, at any telephone number or address provided by the User, for any business purpose, including without limitation project quoting, scheduling, follow-up, customer service, satisfaction surveys, promotional offers, special pricing, seasonal campaigns, cross-promotion of related goods and services offered by the Company or any of its affiliates, and other marketing and informational communications. The User acknowledges that such consent is not a condition of purchase, that standard message and data rates may apply, and that the User may revoke such consent at any time by replying STOP to any text message, by clicking "unsubscribe" within any electronic mail communication, or by transmitting written notice to the address set forth in Section 11 below.
4. Disclosure to Affiliates and Third Parties
We may share, sell, license, transfer, disclose, or otherwise make available the information described herein to: (a) our parent, subsidiary, affiliated, and commonly-controlled entities; (b) our Affiliated Contractors and other licensed service providers retained to fulfill the demolition, construction, hauling, dumpster, environmental, abatement, or related services you have requested; (c) marketing, advertising, analytics, and lead-management vendors; (d) payment processors, insurance carriers, and financial institutions; (e) successors-in-interest in connection with any merger, acquisition, reorganization, financing, asset sale, bankruptcy, or similar transaction; and (f) any governmental, regulatory, judicial, or law-enforcement authority pursuant to subpoena, court order, or other lawful process.
5. Cookies, Tracking, and Do-Not-Track
The Site uses cookies and substantially similar technologies to remember your preferences, measure performance, attribute marketing campaigns, and deliver targeted advertising both on the Site and on unaffiliated platforms across the open web. Most browsers offer controls to refuse, accept, or delete cookies; however, disabling cookies may degrade or eliminate certain functionality of the Site. The Company does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals transmitted by browsers, as no uniform industry standard has been adopted.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information for so long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, to comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, to enforce our agreements, and as otherwise permitted by law. Aggregated, de-identified, and anonymized information may be retained indefinitely.
7. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to and is not intended for use by children under the age of thirteen (13), and the Company does not knowingly collect personal information from any such child.
8. California, Illinois, and Other State Privacy Rights
Residents of California, Illinois, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and certain other jurisdictions may have additional rights with respect to their personal information, including the right to know, the right to access, the right to correct, the right to delete, the right to portability, and the right to opt out of "sales" or "sharing" of personal information as those terms are defined under applicable law. To exercise any such right, please submit a written request using the contact information set forth in Section 11 below. We may require verification of your identity prior to fulfilling any such request.
9. Security
The Company employs commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of personal information. Notwithstanding the foregoing, no method of electronic transmission or storage is one hundred percent (100%) secure, and the Company expressly disclaims any guarantee or warranty of absolute security.
10. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right, in our sole and absolute discretion, to modify, amend, supplement, or replace this Policy at any time and from time to time, with or without prior notice. Continued use of the Site following the posting of any such modification shall constitute your acceptance of the modified Policy.
